WATCH DOG SCREWDRIVER VIDEO TAPE LEAKED ON TWITTER

A police dog allegedly saved its owner's life after fighting a man who is accused of stabbing him with a screwdriver. South Australian Police were called to the Adelaide suburb of Fenton just before two on Thursday after receiving reports of two people attempting to break into cars and homes.

Following the officer's challenge, the suspect allegedly pulled out a screwdriver and stabbed the officer in the hand. Despite what appeared to be multiple attempts to stab the dog and the police officer, Rusty protected his handlers by attacking the attacker.

The man was still holding the screwdriver when additional police arrived.
While paramedics treated the officer's hand injuries, an examination revealed that Rusty was unharmed due to his stab-resistant harness.

The 27-year-old from Findon was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment of dog bite wounds after being detained. The person is likely to be charged with a number of things, like trying to kill or seriously hurt a working animal, attacking important emergency officials, not obeying the law, and having an object.

On Thursday in Port Adelaide, he was told not to show up for court and that he was denied bail. On Thursday night, Corroded and his representative will raise a ruckus around town
