UD student killed in car Accident, What Happened To Sabrina Navaretta?


 According to the Newark Police Division, the 19-year-old originally from Woodbury, New York was killed in a car accident on UD's grounds on April 28. Five additional people were hurt in the accident. Navaretta had a major in business management and was an honors student at UD, according to her LinkedIn profile.

In a college wide email sent the day after Navaretta's passing UD President Dennis Assanis expressed, "as we all in all grieve the departure of an individual understudy if it's not too much trouble, realize we are hanging around for one another as a UD people group. At a meeting with members of Navaretta's sorority and the students who live in her residence hall, representatives from student life informed them that the university is working to provide more support for students.

On april 28 various UD understudies and guardians posted on facebook that Navaretta was returning from airband a dance contest held at the finish of UD greek week. Navaretta joined Phi Sigma in the spring. According to her sorority, she "had an enduring effect on the sisterhood and in the existences of her individual sisters." Navaretta loved spending time on the water, particularly drifting and fly skiing, according to her family members. On friday Navaretta will be let go in private in Syosset, New York. Her family held a visitation on Thursday at the same town's funeral home. A spokesperson for UD stated that work was being done on an obituary for Udaily. A memorial event on the campus is also mentioned, but the spokesperson said that no specifics have been provided yet.
