Zaman Park: Imran Khan’s new political base 2023

LAHORE - The rich Zaman Park area in Lahore is the new political base of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) administrator Imran Khan nowadays. After a gun attack on Imran Khan and other party leaders in the Wazirabad district of Punjab, the protest march he was leading on November 3 to continue on to Islamabad abruptly ended. Even though the long march has resumed from where it stopped more than a week ago, Khan himself sits in his drawing room, where he meets visitors, most of whom are journalists from both domestic and international media. His room has gold and red glittering furniture and art. Imran Khan appears to be on a reiteration binge due to excessive media coverage. He is generously giving interviews to both local and international media, which produce the same material with few changes. The PTI chief has been talking about it over and over with everyone he meets, and he is experiencing a tremendous sense of political loss and an appalling betrayal of trust since his removal from power. Politics and backstabbing are all involved. His discourses made at the long walk rallies are no special case. The wounds to his legs have only fueled the fire. In the past week, prominent PTI leaders like Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Asad Umar, Fawad Ch, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, and Omer Sarfraz Cheema have visited frequently. Recently, Khan also hosted Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan, a veteran leader of the PPP, Ch Parvez Elahi, and Emir Sirajul Haq of the Jamaat-e-Islami to discuss the firing incident and his political struggle, which he refers to as "Haqqiqi Azadi." The stories of supposed treachery by the tactical foundation, his being only a nonentity in his four-year spell and Capture not being influenced quite a bit by are the typical subjects in his gatherings with the media people and the lawmakers. " Given their track record of exerting political influence over parties, they (the Establishment) could have easily saved my government. It also serves as a mantra during meetings. In his conversations, he occasionally makes bizarre contradictions. Khan revealed in a recent interview with a major newspaper that General Bajwa wanted Aleem Khan to be elected Punjab Chief Minister, but that Khan didn't pick him because he was facing NAB cases. If the PTI chief's claim that the establishment had been using the NAB for political maneuvering is true, it is difficult to understand why the establishment would push for the accountability bureau to tighten Aleem Khan's noose when Khan's name appeared as one of the hot favorites for the sought-after position. Additionally, addressing the long marchers has become a daily occurrence with nothing new to say. Notably, the long march protest has evolved into public rallies following the failed assassination attempt on the PTI leader. Every day, a new rally with a new crowd is held in a new city. It's anything but a moving Azadi train any longer with similar arrangement of allies. The Imran Khan residence in Zaman Park has been transformed into a small fortress over the past few days, surrounded by a large police force. On Friday, sand-laden trucks were observed parked outside the residence. The Zaman Park area has virtually disappeared since the arrival of Khan's two sons, Salman and Qasim. Just the people with earlier arrangement to meet the party boss are permitted to get inside. Relationships with the man who sits on the throne in Lahore are strained as a result of the party's new headquarters being in the provincial capital. A waiting terrible taste between Imran Khan and Ch Parvez Elahi over the issue of enlistment of FIR isn't finished at this point. In the given circumstance, Khan has restricted or no choices to take a showdown with the PML-Q, a partnered party in Punjab. He cannot request the Punjab Assembly's dissolution or replacement from the chief minister. As of now, the main pastor is there to give the truly necessary security cover to the dissent walk which can't move an inch on the off chance that there is an opponent government in Punjab. It is very clear what had transpired during the prolonged march on May 25.
