Fox News) After giving a speech at San Francisco State University about saving women's sports, Gaines was confronted by activists shouting "trans rights are human rights" last week. The 12-time NCAA All-American swimmer, who acquired unmistakable quality for standing up when she had to contend with transsexual swimmer Lia Thomas, said she was "caught" in a space for three hours while attempting to get away from the grounds after the chilling assault securely.
"This is going very well for Riley. She has remained positive. "She's actually pursuing legal action against the individuals who assaulted her and trying to hold the university accountable because school officials did nothing while she was sitting in a room for three hours barricaded, waiting for someone to safely escort her out," Silverman stated. "She's pursuing legal action against the individuals who assaulted her."

Additionally, I believe that Riley would have been more than content to engage in civil discourse and respond to inquiries. Yet, tragically, she wasn't offered the chance. Gaines wrote in the tweet, "I was ambushed and physically hit twice by a man. The prisoners are running the asylum at SFSU."
"I don't let this stop me. She stated on "Tucker Carlson Tonight" on Friday, "This assures me that I am doing the right thing." This won't quietness me. They only want me to speak up when they want me to be silenced.
Since a transgender woman beat Silverman out for the $5,000 first-place prize at the 2021 Red Bull Cornerstone event, Silverman, who considers Gaines to be a friend, has spoken out about the transgender community. Silverman was reluctant to speak up at first, but Gaines' willingness to criticize the NCAA for allowing Thomas to compete against biological women gave her the push she needed.
"It was a tremendous motivation and inspiration for me to stand firm for myself, and for myself's purposes, however for female competitors all over the place," Silverman said. " I actually had the privilege of meeting her, conversing with her, and becoming friends with her. Additionally, she is still one of my favorite role models.
