Bilawal Inaugurates Pakistan’s First Lung Transplant Center in Khairpur

KHAIRPUR: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, according to sources, opened Pakistan's first lung transplant center and care center in Gambat on Wednesday.

He also laid the groundwork for the First Lung Transplant Center Health City and Pharmaceutical Unit at the Abdul Qadir Shah Jeelani Institute of Medical Sciences in Gambat, Khairpur.

The first of its kind, the Health City would offer everything from lodging for attendants who accompany patients to a full range of services for medical tourism.

Additionally, Bilawal paid a visit to the Lung Transplant Centre and laid the groundwork for a pharmaceutical initiative.

The PPP Chairman stated that Sindh's medical infrastructure is superior to that of other provinces as a result of the government's efforts. He added that because the Gambat Institute is a national organization, patients from Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and other regions can get free medical care there.

Additionally, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari asserted that Gambat now offers expensive treatment options for liver and kidney disorders that were previously only available in India.
